Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan Tate are set to appear before a federal court in Miami after authorities in the United States arrested them in response to an extradition request submitted by the United Kingdom. British prosecutors are seeking their return to face multiple criminal allegations, including rape, sex trafficking, human trafficking, sexual assault, and other serious offenses.

The brothers, who hold dual US and UK citizenship, were taken into custody by US Marshals in Miami on Saturday while traveling to a sporting event. They have remained in federal detention since their arrest.

Their attorney, Joseph McBride, confirmed that both men will challenge the extradition request through the US legal system. He continues to maintain that the brothers deny every allegation brought against them.

British authorities have filed a combined total of 59 criminal charges against the brothers.

According to the UK Crown Prosecution Service and Bedfordshire Police, the allegations involve seven women and relate to incidents that reportedly occurred between 2010 and 2017 in eastern England.

Officials said additional investigations involving four more alleged victims resulted in the latest charges. Andrew Tate is also the subject of a separate civil lawsuit in the UK filed by four women accusing him of rape and coercive control.

Both brothers have denied every accusation.

Separate Romanian Criminal Proceedings

Apart from the British case, Andrew and Tristan Tate are also facing criminal proceedings in Romania.

Romanian prosecutors accuse the brothers of forming an organized criminal group and participating in human trafficking for the purpose of sexually exploiting women.

In addition to the UK and Romanian cases, Florida authorities have opened an active criminal investigation involving the Tate brothers.

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier acknowledged their arrest publicly, although officials have not disclosed further details regarding the ongoing investigation.

Defense attorney Joseph McBride has announced that the brothers will contest Britain’s extradition request.

He argues that transferring the brothers to the UK while legal proceedings remain active in Romania creates legal conflicts. McBride also claims the prosecution is politically motivated and has referenced US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who ultimately has authority to approve or reject extradition after the judicial process concludes.

The attorney further stated that his clients have continued complying with Romanian court requirements by returning for scheduled hearings.
