The attack took place shortly before 7 p.m. local time on June 5, when an unidentified individual allegedly approached the train and opened fire inside the carriage.

Authorities and witnesses described the shooting as a “random and senseless” act of violence occurring in a public transit environment.


Injury Details and Survival

The teenager sustained multiple gunshot wounds, including serious injuries to his hand and leg. Medical reports confirm that he has already undergone several surgeries and is expected to require further surgical treatment.

Despite the severity of the attack, his survival was partly attributed to a crossbody bag worn across his chest, which reportedly blocked a potentially fatal bullet.

He remains under medical care as he continues his recovery process.
