Fatal Shooting During Delivery

According to investigators, the victim had arrived at the apartment complex to complete a food delivery order. Shortly after finishing the drop-off, he was attacked outside the property and suffered a gunshot wound to the head.

Police officers responding to reports of gunfire discovered the driver lying on the ground with critical injuries. Emergency medical personnel transported him to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Suspicious Order Raises Questions

As detectives examined the scene, they discovered that the delivery request had been placed for a vacant apartment unit within the housing complex.

Investigators recovered three pizza boxes and a delivery bag inside the empty apartment. The items appeared untouched, suggesting that the order had been successfully delivered before the shooting occurred.

The discovery has led authorities to investigate whether the delivery was intentionally arranged to lure the victim to the location.

Evidence Recovered at the Scene

Crime scene investigators found multiple spent shell casings near the location where the victim was discovered. The evidence indicates that the shooter or shooters were standing very close to the victim when the attack took place.

The driver’s vehicle was also located nearby, with delivery equipment still inside.

Surveillance Footage Provides Key Lead

Authorities reviewed surveillance footage from cameras operated in the area. Although the actual shooting was not captured, video reportedly shows the delivery driver carrying pizza boxes while being followed by two individuals dressed in dark clothing.

One of the individuals was reportedly carrying a dark backpack.

Detectives are closely examining the footage as part of their ongoing investigation.

Police have not announced any arrests in connection with the killing. However, investigators believe they have obtained a significant lead after identifying the phone number used to place the delivery order.
